Privacy Policy
Last updated: March 27, 20261. About UnfollowRadar
UnfollowRadar (“we”, “us”, “our”) is operated by Kudometrics LLC, a company registered in the United Arab Emirates. We provide a service that tracks social media follower changes using publicly available data.
This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights. By using UnfollowRadar, you agree to this policy.
2. What Data We Collect
Data you provide:
- Email address (for account creation and notifications)
- Social media usernames you register for tracking (public accounts only)
- Password (stored as a bcrypt hash — we never store plain-text passwords)
Data we collect automatically:
- IP address and browser type (for security and fraud prevention)
- Usage data and page views (anonymized analytics)
- Error logs for debugging
What we do NOT collect:
- Your social media passwords
- OAuth tokens or social media login credentials
- Private messages or private account data
- Any data from private social media accounts
3. How We Use Your Data
We use your data to:
- Provide the UnfollowRadar service (tracking, reporting, notifications)
- Send email reports and alerts you have configured
- Verify your identity when you log in
- Improve our service and fix bugs
- Prevent abuse and unauthorized access
- Comply with legal obligations
We don't sell your personal data. We don't share your data with third parties for advertising purposes.
4. Platform Coverage and Public Data
Currently live: Instagram follower tracking is the only platform currently operational. We access only publicly available Instagram follower data for accounts you register. We don't require Instagram login, OAuth, or any account credentials.
Coming soon: Twitter (X) and TikTok tracking are in development. No data from those platforms is currently collected or processed. When those platforms launch, this policy will be updated and we will notify existing users.
The social media usernames you register must belong to public accounts. We don't track private accounts or accounts that have restricted their follower visibility.
5. Ghost Follower Detection Data
Our ghost follower detection feature analyzes engagement signals for accounts in your Instagram follower list. Specifically, we assess:
- Whether a follower account has shown engagement signals (likes, comments, story views) in the past 90 days
- Whether an account displays characteristics consistent with inactive or automated accounts
We use this analysis only to provide you with ghost follower metrics in your dashboard and email digest. We don't share individual follower data with third parties. Ghost detection results are associated with your account and retained according to your plan's data retention policy.
6. Engagement Analytics Data
Our engagement analytics feature tracks your account's engagement rate over time and provides cohort-level analysis of your follower base. This involves:
- Analyzing aggregate engagement patterns across your followers
- Tracking your engagement rate trend over time (7, 30, and 90-day windows)
- Associating follower behavior patterns with your account's analytics
We store engagement analytics data for the duration of your plan's retention window. We don't sell engagement data or use it for purposes beyond providing your account analytics.
7. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where required by law.
Follower and analytics history is retained according to your plan:
- Free plan: Last 10 unfollowers only, no historical analytics
- Starter plan: 30 days of follower history and analytics
- Pro plan: 90 days of follower history and analytics
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices:
- All data is encrypted in transit using TLS/HTTPS
- Passwords are hashed using bcrypt with appropriate salt rounds
- Database access is restricted to authorized services only
- We conduct regular security reviews
Despite these measures, no system is 100% secure. If you discover a security vulnerability, contact us at [email protected].
9. Cookies
We use minimal cookies necessary for the service to function (session cookies for authentication). We don't use tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
10. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate UnfollowRadar:
- Email delivery provider (for sending reports and alerts)
- Cloud infrastructure provider (for hosting)
- Payment processor (for paid plans)
Each provider processes only the minimum data required and is bound by their own privacy policies and data processing agreements with us.
11. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and data
- Export your data in a portable format
- Opt out of marketing emails at any time
- Object to certain processing of your data
To exercise these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.
12. Children's Privacy
UnfollowRadar is not intended for children under 13. We don't knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us at [email protected] and we will delete it.
